9/11 anniversary events are limited by COVID-19

Several events are being held in observance of the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The financial district in downtown New York continued to burn Sept. 13, 2001, two days after the World Trade Center was destroyed.





The COVID-19 pandemic is bringing an additional note of solemnity to the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, with most public observances canceled or limited in scope and size. Read more
